Seiryu Stone

This is one of the most popular rocks for aquascaping.  These hardscape rocks were introduced by Takashi Amano when he brought the Iwagumi style of aquascape into the hobby.

Also known as Minilandschaft or Ryuoh Stone.

The famous Seiryu Stone is bluish grey in color with sharp jagged edges. Most of them consist of deep crevices within the stone itself allowing for craggy texture and endless details in these stones. These stones allow for a sharp and mountainous aquascape and contrast with plants really well.

Seiryu stones will raise pH and gH depending on how many pounds per gallon you have added into your tank. They are shrimp safe for Neocaridina Shrimp, Ghost/Glass Shrimp, and Amano Shrimp. However, when it comes most Caridina shrimp, it becomes risky and caution has to be taken to prevent the rocks from affecting the water parameters too much.

RO water or driftwood will help counteract the water effects of Seiryu Stones.
