Dr. Tank Sprout Sticks are slow-release fertilizer sticks pushed into the substrate beside root-feeding plants. Each stick breaks down gradually over weeks, feeding the root zone directly rather than releasing nutrients into the water column where algae can reach them first.

Best used with the heavy root feeders — swords, crypts, and mature stem plants — and especially in inert substrates like sand or gravel that carry no nutrients of their own.
