Hydrocotyle Verticillata - Lead Bunch

Hydrocotyle verticillata is instantly recognisable for its perfectly round, umbrella-like leaves held on individual upright stalks. Rather than branching like a typical stem plant, it spreads by horizontal runners, sending up a new coin-shaped leaf at each node.

That growth habit makes it unusually useful — it can be trained as a low midground accent, allowed to creep across hardscape, or left to grow taller into a loose screen. The distinct leaf shape provides contrast against fine-leaved plants.
